The ABM-EVO IV brings 9-band EQ and a host of upgraded features to Ashdown’s flagship bass amp. Immediately identifiable on stages around the world thanks to its glowing VU meter, the Ashdown ABM600 EVO has been a firm favourite with professional gigging bass players for the best part of twenty years.

9 Band EQ
Now in its fifth incarnation, ABM EVO IV pairs class-leading pre amp sophistication with uprated powerhouse performance and an all-new 9-band EQ - rated at 600W. The EVO IV is one of the loudest, punchiest ABM models yet offering great levels of headroom, definition and low-end push.

When you plug into the EVO IV straight away you get the flickering Input VU meter, it’s easy to quickly find the sweet spot for your instrument with a sophisticated 9-band EQ (Bass, Middle and Treble controls and six sliders) providing precision cut and boost at 100Hz, 180Hz, 340Hz, 1.3KHz, 2.6KHz and 5KHz. The EQ can be switched on via the footswitch. Other ABM favourite features are retained in EVO IV, including Ashdown’s famous One Knob Dynamic Compressor and the infamous Sub-Harmonic Generator that lets users blend in a sub octave note for huge bass tones.

New features extend your tone-shaping flexibility
The new preamp section in the ABM 600 EVO IV features variable drive technology. A dedicated drive knob lets you to adjust the amount of current flowing into the 12AX7 tube for tones that range from the cleanest of cleans to the fattest of overdriven thumps. The updated 9-band EQ section will surprise even dedicated ABM players, with tight tonal control including knobs to handle bass, middle, and treble and an expanded 6-band graphic for fine-tuning. Ashdowns familiar 1-knob compressor and sub harmonic generator work to make your tone tighter and fuller than youve ever heard it before and help you claim your rightful place in any mix. All the while you can keep an eye on your levels with the iconic Ashdown VU meter situated right on the face of your amp. Add all of this tonal control the flexibility of footswitching - the EQ, compression, sub-harmonics, and even the variable drive can all be kicked in and out with a tap of your toe.
